Delda Skinner
Professor Skinner is adjunct professor of pastoral ministry and
a graduate of the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the
Southwest and professional artist. She is founder and past
president of the First Frontier Collage Society in Austin,
Texas. She is a full member of the
Society of Layerists in
MultiMedia based in Albuquerque, NM,
a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Los
Angeles, Ca., the National Collage Society in Ohio and the Texas
Watercolor Society.
Her paintings have been published in 14 art books
and an essay she wrote, “Spiritual Essence of Art”, appears in
Bridging Time and Space –
Essays on Layered Art. She has taught in all levels
of public and private schools and presented art and faith
seminars for many years. Her paintings are in collections in
the United States, Mexico and England.
She has a M.A,P.M., Episcopal
Theological Seminary of the Southwest, B.A., Dominican Collage,
B.B.A. Baylor University and studied Art in Florence, Italy at
the Institute del Arte.
She is a native Texas, was married 53 years to John
Skinner before his death in 2002, has
four children and 5 grandchildren and now lives, teaches and
paints in Austin, Texas.
