Artist Statement

           “I have always been intrigued by how my faith, beliefs and life experiences on a conscious and/or subconscious level affect the tenor of my work. This translates into symbols, shapes and colors that I come back to over and over again. I usually point in layers, and in between layers I insert prayers, blessings and names. I feel that this adds positive spiritual energy to the Universal dialogue that is forever taking place. It is a very special thing to bring into being a work of art that is unique and has the ability to evoke thoughts, feelings, responses and reactions from anyone who visually comes into contact with it. There is no language or cultural barrier in art. The viewer connects with the art work and there is understanding which leads to an in depth relationship.”
