Cindy Hickok
Texas Master: Cindy Hickok will end June 17, 2007. A DVD about
the artist, and with a complete catalog of works included in the exhibition,
is available through Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, 4848 Main St.,
Houston TX 77002 for $15 plus shipping. Contact Wanda Williams at

The artist is represented by Jane Sauer (formerly Thirteen Moons) Gallery,
652 Canyon Rd., Santa Fe NM, 87105. The gallery will have a booth at SOFA
Chicago with work by Cindy Hickok, November 1 - 4, 2007. Cindy will give a
slide lecture about her work during that exposition.
The VIII Internationalle of Miniature Textiles at Musee Jean Lurcat, Angers,
France, has again purchased a Cindy Hickok piece for its permanent
collection. The miniature embroidery, titled "Daisy" features a dog with a
rooted flower in its mouth, alluding to the theme of Reduced Gardens.
The Knitting and Stitching Show of the UK will feature a booth of original
works by the artist in its 2009 venues. This will take place in Birmingham,
London, Dublin (Ireland), and Harrogate in the fall of '09

Sue Liska
Sue’s digital image, Too Little Too Late, won
an honorable mention in the Visual Arts Alliance 25th Juried Open
Show on view at Williams Tower Gallery until June 5, 2008.
Her painting, Stolen Lives, is touring Texas and
beyond with an exhibition sponsored by the Rescue and Restore Coalition to bring
attention to human trafficking and modern day slavery.
Sue exhibited in the 2008 FotoFest exhibition, Mind
Over Matter, at the Art Gallery of Houston Community College Central. She
discussed her work during a Public Gallery Talk and Reception.

Judith R. Shamp
Judith has three pieces juried into Arte de Descartes V, an exhibition at
Stables Gallery in Taos, NM. This innovative art show requires use of 90%
recycled materials. "I have been playing with recycled, reformed, archival
paper pulp and combining it with postal marks--you know all those black and
white lines and dots and markings on the return postcards stuck in all the
magazines and catalogues we receive.--- I'm discovering great design
possibilities!"

Delda Skinner
A Grant was awarded
to Associate Professor Delda Skinner and Professor Cynthia Kittredge
from the Episcopal Evangelical Educational Society. A curriculum and/or a book
will be developed pertaining to "The Exploration through Art and Story of the
Most Significant and Least Understood Events of the Bible, Highlighting the
Decisive Actions of Women". Delda Skinner was Juried into the 5th Annual First
Frontier Collage Exhibition held at the Guadalupe Art Center in Austin, Texas.
Her work was also shown in an exhibition sponsored by the Society of Layerists
in Multi Media. in Houston, Texas/ She has taught workshops Entitled "See, Feel
& Know: Art and the Sacred Narratives" for the Diocese of West Texas in Port
Aransas and the Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin, Texas.
